Oak Hill Hospital Emergency Room Receives 2009 “Honorary Recognition Award” from the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN)

Spring Hill, Florida (August 28, 2009) – Oak Hill Hospital has announced that it received notification by the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN) that it has been selected by the BCEN Board of Directors as the recipient of the 2009 BCEN Honorary Recognition Award. The 2009 BCEN Honorary Recognition Award is a national award given to only one emergency room a year by the BCEN. In its letter to Bob Foster, Director of Emergency Services, and Tracy Swetokos, Clinical Coordinator, the award was given to recognize Oak Hill Hospital’s commitment to achieve 100% board certification for its emergency room nurses.

The presentation of the award will take place at the BCEN certification recognition breakfast during the 2009 Emergency Nurse Association annual meeting on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, Maryland. The administrators from Oak Hill Hospital’s Emergency Department were invited to accept the award and received an expense-paid trip to Baltimore to attend the convention and recognition breakfast.

According to the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing, the award acknowledges an agency or institution that has done an outstanding job of promoting the process of certification in emergency nursing.
